R.I.P. Eartha Kitt

(This blog was originally written on 12/26/08 on MySpace)

Most people knew of Eartha Kitt for one or more of three specific parts of her career.
1)  "Santa Baby", the Christmas song
2)  Yzma, the evil character in Disney's "The Emperor's New Groove", a role which won her an Annie award (the top animation awards in the entertainment industry)
3)  Catwoman on the 1960's "Batman" TV series...and this was the Catwoman that caused some social ruckus because of the nature of society at the time

In reality, Eartha Kitt was so much more than that. A groundbreaker, a trendsetter, and one of a kind.  She was performing right up to the end and loved every minute of it.

Check her official website, www.earthakitt.com, for more on this fascinating woman.  She will be missed.
