WTFood

OK, I realize that there has always been some pretty weird and/or disgusting shit available in the supermarket. There's always going to be some odd candy item or gimmicky sugary cereal geared towards the kids. It was the case 40 years ago, and it's still the case today. But what of the adults? There's a lot out there that we buy and eat that most kids or even dogs probably wouldn't go near.

Encyclopedia Brown and the Case of the Missing Blogger

No, it's not a long lost story from those great mystery stories when I was a kid, and it's not a reboot for today's audience either.  Thank goodness for the latter because a) all Hollywood wants to do anymore is fucking reboot past movies, even if it HASN'T EVEN BEEN EIGHT YEARS SINCE THE LAST VERSION, and b) a reboot for today's audiences would probably see Encyclopedia Brown, Sally Kimball and Bugs Meany involved in some sort of weird sexual threesome that may or may not involve handcuffs and a blackjack.

"Black Swan" and "The King's Speech" reviews

There are advantages and disadvantages to living in any particular location.  One of the things I love most about where I live is that there is, nearby, a movie theater that plays the stuff that's out in limited release.  In 2010 I've seen probably a dozen or more films that are foreign films, documentaries and the like, that are not films ever in wide-release.  Or, as was the case with today, films that are not YET in wide-release.

Older MySpace blogs now added

In case you're a little confused, no, Eartha Kitt did not just die and I didn't wait nearly 3 years to recap the 2008 Oscars.  I moved the MySpace blogs that I felt were worth keeping to here, as I'm wiping out my MySpace account today.  "Stuff It" is the only new blog for November 2010, besides this one.

Regular blogging will commence next week.  Rejoice.
